The New Orange and Alexandria Railroad Historical Society is a new look on an old railroad that helped to build a the nation. Our goal is to help present the essence of what it was by presenting the facts about the railroad in reference the land and the locations.. The history that the railroad was involved in made this country and our goal is to look upon it with new eyes and love for what it was. Here we will meet the people, visit the places and witness the events that unfolded all across the Commonwealth of Virginia throughout the Civil War. The information posted here, we do not take the credit for as we didn't write it. History wrote it. All we are doing is presenting it. Every picture you see here is credited to it's owners as we did not take them. We are not making money from these pictures. This site is designed to be a platform in which to convey information about the Orange and Alexandria Railroad . We are additionally in support of the National Railroad Safety Campaign "Operation Lifesaver" and will also report news about modern railroads. We hope to build a model railroad with modern equipment to represent the railroad as if it still existed even today. We hope that you would find this site to be pleasantly enjoyable!
